Before taking your practical driving test, you need to pass your theory test. This is a really important part of learning to drive. When you do your practical test you will need to show you can use what you learn for the theory test when you are driving on the road.
It is crucial you prepare for your theory test. There are two parts to the test:
- The multiple choice part
- The hazard perception part
The multiple choice questions are taken from the following three books and you will need to use all of these to prep for your test:
- The Official Highway Code
- The Official DVSA Guide to Driving – the essential skills
- Know Your Traffic Signs
